Problem Note 46549: Store view does not change when switching from 'Show Section' to 'Show Merchandise Layer 1' in SAS® Retail Space Management
If your business process does not use a particular merchandise level, the values of levels to layers do not match up correctly.
For example, if Area level (Level 6) is disabled because it is not used, the child objects of Departments (Level 5) are now Sections (Level 7) instead of Areas. Therefore, Layer 0 should be Department and Layer 1 should be Section. However, in the combo box, Layer 0 is Department and Layer 2 is Section.
To resolve this problem, the layer value should be based on the object type instead of the next layer in the chain.
The layers should appear or disappear depending on which value is selected in the combo box.
